I've been practicing Simple Abundance by Sarah Breathnach for
two years now. In fact, I read her book two years in a row. This year, I wanted
to read it again to guide me in my everyday walk, but decided to let it go and
practice what I've learned on my own.
So last year, when I was walking along my MRT to Makati
and back route, and doing a little Christmas shopping, I found these beautiful
table knick knack holders or what I choose to call them. I once saw on the same
Landmark spot some things I regretfully didn't buy so this time I took the
chance and grabbed them. A week after they weren’t there anymore. The same happened in Simple Joys. I found several beautiful items. One of which is a mug that I now use for my morning coffee. That store is so wonderful. It makes me want to buy all the things in there, but when you practice Simple Abundance, you'll know which items are yours.
You see, in
Simple Abundance, you only buy what tugs you in the heart, and these tugged
mine so hard, so fast, I had to grab them. Of course, it’s not as simple as
that, you’ll have to read the book to know how to know if something is really
meant for you. The principles in the book are weaved together.
So here they are on my table. They are beautiful reminders of
what life is all about for me.
