I'm not very good at trying new things nor trying new things alone. So when I saw an interesting workshop posted on +Papemelroti Gift Shops SM Mega Mall store, I grabbed the opportunity to stretch myself a bit.
"By leaving your comfort zine behind and taking a leap of faith into something new, you find out who you are and truly capable of becoming." -Unknown
Fine, I couldn't go alone just yet, so I asked a couple of good relatives and friends who might be interested. Pia was and we went together. It was a good way to spend time together too since we haven't seen each other in a long long time.
+Papemelroti Gift Shops workshop was entitled Future Full of Hope Workshop. It was a workshop about weaving art into Bible Reading. I enjoyed it a lot!
It was interestingly facilitated by two wonderful women who spoke with ease and comfort it made you feel as if you've all been friends for a long time already. It was a small group. No need to be of a certain religion. No need to be good at art.
All you had to be was open to enjoying the journey. I was and I did.
I especially liked that I learned to read the Bible and remember what I've read by making art out of the key words I've read and related to myself.
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”-Thomas Merton, No Man is an Island
