Just finished reading "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Stay-At-Home-Moms" and it was so encouraging and uplifting.
As a work-from-home-mom, there are days when I feel I don't financially contribute enough to my family. That's a very big and real worry since I grew up with my own mom telling me that I should be independent enough to leave my husband should there be a need for it. She's an 80's mom. The time of "working girls".
So anyway, this book helped me a lot. Funny too that even from different parts of the world there are moms exactly just like me.
"If You Can" is a story of a mom who can't let anyone take care of her kids. Here's an entry from her story that struck me...
I considered going to work, but couldn't fathom leaving them all day with anyone else, even family.
I never thought there were moms like me who didn't like to leave their kids even with family. I certainly am uncomfortable doing it even to this day.
There were so many funny sometimes sad, amazing and inspiring stories. I couldn't put the book down, but at the same time, I didn't want it to end.
