I MISS XAVIERVILLE

I miss our gated community. I miss clean streets. I miss our beautiful house. I miss my room. I miss my walk-in closet. I miss my dresser. I miss my own bathroom. I miss being 2 doors away from sis. I miss being able to walk to sis' closet and borrow clothes. I miss Mamu. I miss Papu's marinated steak and cooking it on his own, asking sis and I how we want it even though he doesn't let us eat it any other way but well done. I miss eating dinner out Sundays with Papu, Mamu and Sis. I miss having a car, a 2nd car, a 3rd car, a 4th car, a 5th car, a 6th car, a 7th car at my disposal (well not always). I miss getting bored at home. Sleeping in during the rainy season. I MISS XAVIERVILLE - where it's safe, happy and I can be alone or be with family having veranda sessions.

Company Profile

ProjectCentral is a company headed by two young, warm and driven individuals namely Sylvia Patricia S. Rieza and Kara Angela V. Vicente.

To better know the company, here is a little history of the two that interconnects which eventually led to the beginning of the company.

Pia is a graduate of the University of the Philippines and currently a Law Student at the same school. She is a Teacher and an events coordinator for their family business.

Kara is a B.S. Psychology graduate of Miriam College and currently teaching at a Pre-School in Marikina City. She is also a wife and mother of one.

The two have been good friends since studying high school at O.B. Montessori Greenhills where they were exposed to various social settings with training in Food Technology. Though very different with their careers at present, they both share a love for setting up social events. They enjoy seeing people’s delight in the tiniest of details being set out for them during gatherings. Clients will sure to notice the genuine concern of these two for them, as they try to accommodate them in every possible way.

Thus, the beginning of ProjectCentral. ProjectCentral is a response to their friends’ need for reliable but affordable events consultancy and planning services. ProjectCentral provides planning, management and coordination services that would help make an event memorable, without having to remember the price paid by the client. These services range from conceptualization to execution, detailed management, or on-site coordination depending on the client’s needs. ProjectCentral also offers site design and decoration, program development, emceeing, and other services needed to make your event truly memorable.

With Pia and Kara’s varied backgrounds and mutual love for social gatherings, the company provides a variety of coordinating specialties – from affairs of the heart, to business events, to children’s interactions.

It really is the Merry Month of May :) I only work for 2 hours, and get to do what I want for the rest of the day. Woohoo!

I have a somewhat funny story...A couple of years back I was invited by my friend Tam to go to 8 Waves Waterpark when it opened, but I wasn't able to go and didn't think much of it. Then this year, while we were chatting through Friendster, she told me to check it out. So I did, and recommended it to my family. I was really surprised to find out that it's the place most tv shows go to for summer. What's more surprising is that it's right beside the house where my friend used to bring us when we'd visit her at Bulacan. Nakaka-aliw lang! I never knew it was that big and nice. Anyway, it's really nice there. Check it out. Don't worry, Caloy is gone. Hurry before another one visits the Philippines.

My Sister's Wedding

I've been helping my sister with her wedding preparations since I got back from my wonderful wonderful vacation in Bohol. The biggest task I did was to prepare her Bridal Shower with the help of family and friends. Thanks to Tita Glenda, who wasn't able to join us because of a TBS, the night was a success.

Most Bridal Showers have strippers to dance and tease the Bride-To-Be, whereas we had an instructor to teach us how to grind our bodies. Some of us actually put to use what we have learned, and it worked well for them and their partners. Thanks to Earl of Pinnacle :) However, probably due to lack of exercise, hurt themselves while grinding and teasing :) He! He!

April 23 2005 was the big day :) I got up, went to the master's bedroom where Sis slept and talked for a while. We had the Bridal Car washed, had lunch, went to Starbucks for the Bride's caffeine fix and then to the parlor :) We both missed Mama at that point, because it was where Mama shined the brightest - at the parlor :) Mama would have known what time to be there, what should be done both for the Bride and Maid of Honor, etc. Since the Queen of Beauty Tips wasn't there, we had to make do with what we picked up from her through the years.

Everybody at the parlor were excited. They have known us since we were Toddlers, and were very glad to be of service to us. They were happy.

I must admit, it wasn't the kind of wedding my boyfriend and I would want for ourselves. We want the Traditional kind with a few exceptions. The kind Vina and Rolex wanted to veer away from as much as they could :) They are a bit eccentric in their ways, and if they had gone Traditional, a lot would have been shocked, including me. Some would have probably left thinking it wasn't the wedding they were invited to.

This I have to say though, the Reception at Chateau Verde was perfect! It's still not the kind my boyfriend and I like, but knowing Rolex, and having known Vina all my life, it was them. It was the kind they like, and everyone who knows them would say it was the kind of party that Rolex and Vina would throw. It was so fun it reminded me of our once typical Friday and Saturday nights where we'd go to a bar where Vina sang. There everybody knew everyone else. Everybody drinking, chatting, singing along, etc.

Also, I'm proud of Rolex and Vina for having invited only guests whom they wanted to share their special day with. I'm not sure, but I don't think they had to talk to a guest whom their parents invited because that person was once important in their lives. Everybody there were truly welcome :)

I can't explain my feeling that night, but when the music was playing, their friends toasting and roasting, and most especially when Vina sang and Rolex played the guitar, it felt "right." It definitely was Rolex and Vina's night. Congratulations Bro and Sis! :)

I went to the doctor today with Zivv. He had his flu shot and cried very hard :) I'm happy because unlike our Saturday trips to the doctor, we went straight inside her room - no lining up. Plus we get a PhilHealth reimbursement :) Wohoo!
